It’s always a good week when we start it out with a drop from Clarks of England. The classic Wallabee returns just in time for spring / summer with a completely new strut. The traditional suede is taking a back seat. The shoe comes with a brown waxed cotton upper, and contrasting leather trim. Waxed cotton is rather old world process where the cotton is treated with a paraffin wax. The process became popular with Scottish sailors due to the fact that it rendered their footwear waterproof.This is the Wally you’ve been waiting on, seeing as though it’s not a good look to wearing suede in the summer time. These should hold up quite well at the lake. Of course, regular readers know what the closing Clarks disclaimer is.
