In the late 80′s 2 sets of fashion hungry kids from Brooklyn teamed up to become one of the strongest forces NYC would see to this day. The crews, Ralphies Kids and Polo USA formed the Lo-Life’s [read more]. Draped in primo POLO by Ralph Lauren they created a culture for themselves that continues to span generations. [Read more...]

Levi’s x MoCA “Art in the Streets” Truckers
Art in the Streets is over. Bags and boxes are packed. Fumes consumed and it’s back to bombing, from an artist perspective or that of corporate America. While a majority of the companies came in with a proverbial game face for the arts, one company actually stands out from the wolf pack with year round efforts. The Levi’s Production Workshops are a democratic approach to arming people with a slew of valuable resources that are oft-inaccessible to the average creative individual. With the focus on the native arts of a particular city, the initiative has been a success at every stop. [Read more...]Ladies: Adidas Silver Cravat Wedge
Besides the major “Originals” and “Originals by Originals” initiatives, Adidas has been slowly building their SLVR (silver) Collection. SLVR amalgamates the same Adi quality with forward thinking design and slightly higher price point. In a sense it picks up where Originals left off, and the Adidas Cravat Wedge is a proper start. Back in the Days: Jamel Shabazz The 10yr Anniversary Edition
After picking up a camera at the age of 15, Jamel Shabazz has been unknowingly become the first “visual documentarian” of hip hop. For over 30 years he’s captured the world around him. Another Clark’s of England collab. The classic Wallabee gets the duotone treatment time with Loopwheeler out of Japan. The team ups have turned out well this year for Clarks. Too bad some of the releases will never be seen stateside, like the Clarks x Stussy team up we ran earlier this year.Clarks Harris Tweed Weaver
Even though the Desert and the Wallabee have been primary styles for the Clark’s for England here in the US, their Japanese signature has been making noise this year. The Weaver Boot, which has been around since 1977 has hardly available in the states until recently. As with the elusive Redland, the Weaver is primarily released though out Europe and Japan. For the latest and probably last release of the year they take to Harlem and partner with Japan based atmos sneaker boutique. Of course we love the classic suede, but the Harris Tweed takes things to a new level. Speculated release is end of the month at atmos. If you’re in Atlanta the Weaver is also available at Abbadabba’s (via Pony Boy) [Read more...]
