KIDULT: Europe’s Next Top Vandal owns Kenzo, Paris

The Kidult you love to hate is back and once again is sparing no establishment. After the Supreme job, the MoCA mission, and scraping the face off of a few other high end retailers, he’s going gully on Paris boutique, Kenzo. Once again he’s not tolerating the mainstream use of graffiti / street art culture for capital gain. The first part of the vid promos Kenzo’s new fragrance, Flower Tag. You can do the knowledge from there.

Seriously? KID, if you happen to read this, that whole concept is so tom coon buffoonik why bother? Unless this is an inside job to launch a new product with immediate controversy right out of the gate. But then that would mean you’re part of the establishment. Either way keep dropping these videos. The innanets loves you meng. [source: The Beast]

Mike Giant aka Giant One: Let there be BEEF #graffiti

Simple rules of engagement. We loose sight of these things due to the innanets. Dope video all day. (via LayLo, welcome back) [Read more...]

MoCA ‘Art in The Streets’ Video

Regardless of ignorant opinion, “Art in the Streets” is without a doubt one of the single most important art events of our time. It’s made headlines all over the world. It’s sparked controversy in all avenues of the art world, above and underground. It’s produced a fair number of heroes and villains. And whether good or bad, it has managed to solidify the positions of graffiti and street art history.

As great things can’t last forever, the monolithic MoCA exhibition is coming to a close on August 8th. The 2012 chapter of AITS was slated for the Brooklyn Museum of Art but has since been canceled for “financial” reasons. That said, the next exhibition is unknown, so if you are on the West Coast from now until August 8th, make sure you make it to MoCA “Art in the Streets“. Don’t sleep. Video by Juan Enriquez / Footage includes interview with CornBread, Freedom, Mr. Cartoon, and Shepard Fairey. via Arrested Motion.
