Subway Art’s Martha Cooper Remixed (LA)

If you’re familiar with graffiti, you’re most likely more than familiar with the sacred street manuscript that is Subway Art. And if you’re up on Subway Art then you know who Martha Cooper is. Along with Henry Chalfant, she is quite possibly one of the most pertinent cultural catalysts of our time. Even outside of Subway Art her Hood Pass is certified and definitely lifetime, as she has been capturing and documenting urban lifestyles and cultures for over 60 years. From the infancy of hip hop culture, through the crack era and even up until now her unbiased eye for the freshest moment is still hard at work.
